The Problem
Christian got back in touch after we'd spoken roughly six months earlier. He'd remembered our email and reached out with a serious issue: the contact form on his current, dated website had stopped working, and there was no straightforward fix from his existing provider.
Rather than patch around the problem, I proposed a clean break: a brand new design, new hosting, new forms and a new setup across the board, moving everything away from the provider that was causing the issues. Christian liked the idea of leaving the old setup behind entirely.
Goals

- ✓ Make sure every contact form on the site was working reliably

The Process
We started with a custom mock-up to lock the design direction in early. From there we worked through content, building the pages out and refining the design until Christian was happy with where it had landed. Throughout the project we kept the build moving in parallel with the technical migration, so by the time the design was ready, the domain and DNS work was already lined up to go.
The domain transfer was completed cleanly and every DNS record was migrated to the new registrar, keeping Christian's email addresses and the live site running without any downtime.
